Planning a budget wedding? That doesn’t mean that you have to trade the pretty for the affordable! In fact, if you get creative, you can still pull a gorgeous wedding without spending a ton. Plus, DIYs are not only the more affordable way to do things, they are also super fun. So, call your friends & family and spend your weekend crafting, creating, sewing, or painting! Here are our 5 favorite wedding DIYs for a budget wedding:
Photo booths are a great trend for weddings, however, they can cost you a decent price if you rent it from outside. A great alternative is to get crafty and create one yourself! You can use an old vintage frame or even modern cardboard cutouts, whichever you have on hand. With it, you need a stand to hang it from and set up some props to use- easily available at crafts stores or online. If you want to get even more adventurous, you can try to decorate the frame with some accent flowers to give a more custom look! For the full DIY, find it here.
Bridesmaids want to look fancy, too! We are absolutely in love with this blush DIY feather dress created by A Beautiful Mess (click for full DIY). The original dress costs over $300, and the DIY version is $200 cheaper, so your bridesmaids can totally rock a high fashion look on a budget.
Yay for floral crowns! Did you know you can easily make your own? All you need is a floral wire, floral tape, cutters and some silk flowers (real will work, too, but they won’t last very long). To make your own, just follow the steps over on Martha Stewart Weddings!
Love succulents? We do, too! Succulents wedding favors have been a huge trend and wedding guests are loving it! Now, did you know that you can double up on your wedding favors by turning them into escort cards as well? Not to mention, you can easily make them yourself. All you need is mini planters, some soil, and mini succulents (order online or visit your local nursery). Lastly, just add a place card sign! Easy, peasy. See inspiration over here.
Don’t have a budget for fancy schmancy centerpieces? No worries! All you need is some glass bottles, spray paint, and a few flowers. The key here is to be creative with the arrangements and colors- we are really loving the glitter and rose gold paint. Full DIY is here.
